Dec 10/10

Thanks to everyone for their financial and emotional support to Duane Moore.

Here is his reply, following our donation drive:

the total raised was 681.00 that’s not to bad I must say and will pay for two months of Cobra insurance. Without the Cobra my family would lose everything we have so it makes a big difference. Myself and my family are so greatfull for all of the kind hearts that donated, to you Grizzman for getting things started and being a good listener to the Lord and to Martin for his support and help. This will help ease the mind of a man dying in knowing that as a family we are protected for at least two more months longer then before. We thank God for all that he has done and for touching the hearts fo those that gave.

We know how difficult it is to give to something like this you question the legitimacy the honesty etc because there are so many bad people a nd scams. I want all to know in there hearts that this is so real and I wish it were never happening at all. We are a young family and to be torn apart by a disease while in the prime of our lives just does not seem fair but it must be Gods will so we except it. I personally want to thank everyone for the help and wish all a Happy and Merry Christmas from my family to yours and may God bless all of you.

Love Duane & Family

Duane, I am glad to have been able to give what little amount I could. If the Lord blesses me more, I will definitely be blessing you.

Wouldn’t it be cool if there were something that could be auctioned or something to raise more money for this family?

Dennis (and others):

Grizzman has a heart as big as all outdoors. He originally wanted to put together an auction, and HAD some pretty well-respected woodworkers ready to donate some stuff TO auction.

But the laws about auctions looked really complicated, and …. nobody thought it was the right thing to do to risk ANY sort of legal troubles, in an effort to help a fellow LumberJock.

If anybody knows anything about that sort of thing, and could offer up some opinion/information/advice/sources/resources, maybe we could put something like that together.

But what I saw … with only a bit of looking … looked pretty discouraging.

My heart goes out to, and my thoughts are with, Duane and his family.

And my thanks, too, go to Grizz, Martin, Debbie, and this site for coming together for such a good cause.
