Hello Lumber Jocks! To each and everyone of you, I hope this year brings you everything you want and your projects go as smooth as silk. I am looking to hear from those who have been part of or took part in the “Freedom Pen Project”. I’ve read about it and have been trying to get fresh information about this program. If you know anything about this please forward to me or post contact info so that I can make the proper contacts needed. I would love to kick this into gear for 2011. Being new to pen turning I see this as a great community project for groups and schools as well. so anyone with info please respond.

Our wood turning club (Flatland Wood Turners – Champaign, IL – ) turned pens for “Freedom Pen Project” last year it’s been a kind of continuing project for the club. I turned 80 pens for it. Here’s the link to the site, . The club FWT’s furnished the pen kits and alot of the wood the members turned the pens.
