Today, I found a nice bandsaw for a good price and picked it up this morning. It’s not a Rikon or PowerMatic, but it will more than suffice for my needs at this time.
Grizzly G0555 w/6” extension – this gives me about 10-12” of resaw capacity, so I can resaw the wood I have been collecting from broken furniture.
Since I didn’t have to pay for shipping and sales tax and the accessories, it was quite a good deal for me.
Here’s a picture of it in the other guys garage/shop. Once I get it out of the van and the next 2 benches built today, I will post a few pictures of how the shop is coming along.
I also stopped at the Woodcraft store in Dublin, CA and bought my first two pieces of “premium” wood [premium wood is anything that is not reclaimed or bought at a place like Lowe’s – my take on premium]. PROJECT: cookbook holder…
