I was a welder, but I have alwys enjoyed carpentry and masonry, of which I favor working with Hinoki wood and granite tiles. But being pragmatic, I usually use Western Red Cedar and conrete block.I have many hand tools such as several Adz and many Japanese hand saws, but I greatly appreciate power tools. I like repairing my own power tools. I really like Wormdrive saws best , but it would be hard to spot that, given all the Sidewinders I use. I don't care much for hi-speed as far as drills are concerned and I use corded tools uless otherwise necessary.
I wanted to join y'all cause I like what I've seen and read.

Old Welder. Butt Carpentry and masonry my favorite, especially granite tiles. Favorite wood is hinoki and maki. Butt pragmatically use mostly western red cedar.Carving wood. Like repairing tools.
I got the old time hand tools like the Oxhead adz. But then greatly appreciiate power tools. Prefer word drive to side winder, butt got both. Don’t like hi-speed power drills. Prefer corded by a long shot.
Just finally got a miter saw.
I joined y’all on account of what I saw on here.

Looking for help on getting a ROHM (factory instaled) Chuck off a Milwaukee 5381 Hammerdrill. I’ll provide the details if a knowledgeable dude comes across this. But we’re talking more than red loctite at work here. The retining screw alone was a nightmare getting out.

Milwaukee Model 5910 4 X 24 Belt Sander

I found this 5910. I got running with some help from Corby at Milwaukee Tech Support. They still got the two pads for her.
Lots of torque with her but the that Yoke up front gets a little hotter than the front roller on the Makita, Hitachi or Porter Cable belt sanders
