Looks like a awesome pattern on a table top. Is this painstakenly carved or cnc machined. Try on a separate piece of MDF a spray sealant the reaction. If good results spray in thin coats(2 or 3). Then use 4 poly coats, then go to a glass company, and have them cut a glass top to lay over it. Just a thought. I don’t use MDF or plywood, just solid woods on my projects. Your engraving sure looks nice.

I’m not sure what CBC machined is… however, to answer your question, it’s hand carved (hand chiseled and dremeled). I agree with real wood, I bought this table for $5.00 from a storage shed sale. It looked like real wood to me, even the scratches in the table. Thank you for the advice and compliment.
