Part 1: getting it done slooowly

This cabinet was a build I auctioned for charity in 2014, I still have a few steps to finish it (Weekend Hobbyist). The winner on the auction took several months to decide what he wanted (what his wife wanted), and I am doing my best to impress him with a product that she will like. The woods used are black walnut and chestnut with ebony plugs accenting. The project is a kitchen cabinet with wine rack. Part 2: Hoping for a Christmas finish date

I’ve gotten most of the major parts done. I just picked up the marble Saturday and added the support plywood to the top frame. The tolerance is way tighter than expected, I’m going to have to lay the marble face down and press it into the top upside down, it wont drop in from above without canting slightly and getting stuck. The wine rack was a challenge, I made the cross pieces from 1/2” ply and then added the outer frame. I had to cut the outer edges on the table saw t...
