Mike Gilbert

I am a project manager for the University of Colorado in Boulder Colorado. I grew up in the mountains in a town called Nederland, best known to people around here for their Frozen Dead Guy Days. I have been woodworking / tool collecting for about 6 years. I have been married for five years and am blessed to have a wife that supports my hobby and encourages me to try new projects, not to mention tolerates the new tool purchase that inevitably follows the start of every project. At this point in my woodworking I have completed a handful of projects and still find myself attempting techniques and methods of woodworking for the first time with each new project. I am excited by what I have seen so far on Lumber Jocks and have already gotten some great ideas for future projects from the website. I plan to post all of my work up here eventually and am very appreciative of the feedback and compliments I have gotten on the work I have posted so far and the wealth of information available in the forums.
