Location: George, Western Cape, South Africa

I have only recently started doing woodworking again. I had it as a subject in school about 12 years ago, but have not worked at it for some time. For the moment i would therefore classify myself as a newbe.

I live in George, South Africa, surrounded by the beautiful Tsitsikama forests. Living here is any woodworker's dream and we get some of the best timber in the world.

My passion is for wood turning and cabinet making.

Hi Guys, Thanks for the welcome. Jamie - Tamboti is a beautiful wood, isn't it. I lived in Limpopo for about 2 years where it comes from. Div – Thanks for the invite. I will definitely make contact with you. I have only recently started woodworking (even though I dabbled a little bit in the past) and would love to make contact.

Howzit Rian, Really like your Kiaat bowl, I’ve recently aquired a lathe and also soon hope to be able to post my first bowl.
