I am new to woodworking and have inherited my grandfather in law’s Shopsmith 10ER. I want to do some pen turning and am trying to find out what mandrel saver and mandrel I will need to buy. I’ve called the Shopsmith company and Penn State Industries to try and figure out what I need, but neither had an idea of what I need. Does anyone have any idea what a Shopsmith Model 10ER needs as far as a mandrel saver goes?

Look for mandrel to fit a 5/8” shaft. Penn State has a 5/8” mandrel set for Shopsmith .
