Some have asked for info on the butt joint boxes I used to make. So I decided to share the info I used when I was making these. They are simple and actually fun to make and the best part is people really enjoy them. The making or breaking of these boxes is the selection of woods you use. Rikon Bandsaw #1: Rikon 10-325

Recently bought a Rikon 10-325 from WoodCraft. Everything that i have read about Rikon has been pretty positive. But I have had issues and would like to know if anyone has had any negitive experiences and what they have done to correct them. I have contacted the company (Rikon) and they pretty much blown me off.

Steps Cutting Board Version 2 (Two Step)

This is a second generation Steps cutting board made out of walnut, maple, and cherry. The first Steps board I made used a basic square with edge of maple and cherry to make it a block and a notch to do the stepping. I wanted to try to make a stepping board using the hex Tumbling Block design, and this is what I came up with. Hey everyone once again I’m super busy: Full time job, ebay business, and woodworking hobby, not to mention wife, two little boys, dog and my newest addition to the wood shop…. Peanuts the kitten who I hope will become a savage mouse slayer. So I took some products to a local christmas show and…....... CLEANED HOUSE! Oh yeah I was a smash hit and even made the local paper.
