The shiny thing in question happens to be an Evolution Fury-5-S table saw.

I know that it’s definitely at the cheap end of the market, but when you can’t afford better…

I’ve set it up in accordance with the instructions & my engineers square and have had a little practice/fun with some pallet wood making lots of dust in the back garden. I can see, from this, that I am going to need some more practice before allowing any better wood to go near it, but it’s going to be a useful (and fun) tool to own.

Tomorrow will be some plywood cuts as I’ve got a few very simple boxes to make.

Trust me to go away just after I posted the blog entry so I couldn’t even respond to you ;) The amusing thing, of course, is that the post was so rushed because I was going away for a few days and didn’t have any time to take pics :D

Will shoot some pics on my phone and post them :)
