Have the opportunity to buy a 18” 1988 vintage, 2hp band saw but needs blade guide. I can not fine the model number on the machine but the motor appears original and is dated 1988.
Anyone know if the blade guide would be available from a aftermarket supplier?

1) Grizzly has parts for most every tool they sell. But you need a model number. Maybe take some pictures and email grizzly to see if they can help you determine the model number? Post them here too, so LJ folks can compare to what we have in shop?

2) Only 18” band saws currently sold by Grizzly are metal/wood cutting with adjustable speeds to account for differences in wood/metal cutting. The wood only saws are either 17” or 19”. All of them are easy to find on Grizzly.com

3) Aftermarket blade guides are available from Carter Products. But you will need the model number to find the part, or the original blade guide if they need to make one custom.

Must find the model number.

Best Luck.
