Although I am a digitizer of embroidery designs and have done so for over 15 years, I also work in wood. I have hand carved many different animal items as a teenager. I was introduced lately to scroll sawing by my bother-in-law. He started me out on a 'frog' project right away. Then my sister instructed me on the painting of the frog. My first project and a 'stack' one at that. I make two frogs and gave one to my sister. Needless to say, I am hooked on the scroll saw work. I am awaiting my first scroll saw. Then I will be working on wood more than fabric, although my love of fabric will never die. Do come on over and see my site, I will be posting pics of my woodwork there also as I get them done.

I also love making quilts and giving them away, almost all of my quilts will have some of my designs on them. My sister also does a lot of hand-drawn angels for me and I digitize them. I also love doing a wall hanging or landscape quilts.

I am also a great lover of the garden. I love having lots of flowering plants and shrubs around the yard. Lots of work to keep it looking nice and I love doing it.

I am a stamp collector who also, started collecting the used stamps and later moved over to the 'mint' stamps.

I am an animal lover and have had many dogs (now in heaven) and now have lots of birds to include 3 chickens. Love those fresh eggs. :-) Our baby is an African Grey parrot. He talks our legs off each and every day, you can read all about him in my blog, access it from my web site.

I am new to lumber-jocks so forgive if this post is not in the right place. :-) I want to thank Todd, James, Wayne, Bill and Rick for a nice welcome. I am a little new to scroll sawing, but have fell in love with it. Now awaiting my new scroll saw, then I can get to work or should I say play. Here is my first ever scroll saw project that my brother-in-law instructed me to do. I did a ‘stack’ cut and gave one to my sister.

Great job MaggieNell. Very nice. I would suggest posting it in on your project page. Many more folks will see it there. Simply click on “My Lumberjocks” in the upper right corner of your profile page. Then click on “New Project” near the lower part of the drop-down menu and follow the instructions. By posting the picture and description in this forum, you will not only add it to your personal gallery, but it will appear in the daily project list for all to see. Good Luck !!
