two more garage sale finds, the first is what I believe to be a paring chisel, it looks like it has opened more paint cans than cut wood. it has what appears to be a horse logo on it. the handle on it when I bought it was a split piece of dowel with copper pipe holding it together.

The second I bought a year ago, it is I what I believe to be a timber framing chisel. it has a JS or a JG on it but is so rusty and faint I doubt that I will be able to get any kind of picture of it even if I remove the rust. I bought it to use it as a paperweight as I doubt that I will ever have a need to build a barn etc.

I will slowly acquire a good set of tools and the ability to use them.

any information on these would be great

Thanks for reading

Cool Tools! I like antique finds that take a bit of detective work.

Thoughs look really nice. Would love to see them finished up. I found an old timber framing chisel myself today. It has what i think is Robert Luke on it. Anyone ever seen that?

Have your say...
