Need electrical information. - 6 replies

I bought this lathe from HF for my abusive jobs that require the motor running for long periods. Has 1/2 HP motor and seem solid enough. The ad says, “5 speed”. Well, the speed is not controlled by a switch rather you have to open two of the side panels by removing the screwed on covers and then positioning the plastic belt! left ...

In loving memory of my jointer/planer - 12 replies

Hi and thanks in advance for your advice.I have fellow who works in the arctic and wants a walking stick that can handle the temperatures up there. How do you achieve a finish like this? - 9 replies

Hi all,Had a weird experience yesterday. Put some rubber hose that had been dipped in mineral oil on a table that I think I had finished over a year ago with lacquer. So, I am converting my table saw into a router table. The switch on the table saw has three wires (black, white and green). I’ve looked for wiring switch to outlet but most diagrams show how to do it with a 2 terminal switch.
