Hey, in my post a couple of months back, you mentioned that you had issues with the feed roller for your Inca 570. I just recently ran into the same issue on my 510. The rollers just aren’t moving the lumber. The lumber I’m passing through is VERY dense and comes out of the jointer with an almost glass-like finish. What was your cleaning process? Or how did you fix your issues?

I did two things that helped: (1) The feed roller is a knurled steel cylinder. Bits of wood got pressed into the grooves in the knurling and reduced the efectiveness of the roller. I cleaned mine with a small steel brush and a pick to remove the imbedded chips and renew the grip. (2) If the planer table isn’t slick, the workpiece will stick to it and stall. I cleaned mine with mineral spirits and waxed and polished it with a hard wax like carnauba or similar. Rennaisance Wax, works well, if you have any. Those two things helped a lot, but I continued to have sticking problems occasionally. When that happened, I re-waxed the table and that would usually get it going again.
