I am somewhat of a novice! I did a lot of woodworking in High School. Took as many wood tech classes available. However I have not had a shop of my own since then until now. I finally live in a place that has room for a shop and I am beginning to pull tools together. Although most of my tools are either old or cheap or both. For example I have a 1950's model Mark II shopsmith that is currently only good for a lathe and sander.

My first project that I plan to undertake is a 16' cedar strip canoe. I have started building the forms but wife keeps asking me to do other projects first so progress has been slow.
