This is what happens when I do it right. Know this: Nothing (NOTHING) comes easy for me. Joye, my friend and neighbor, Bonny’s and Clyde’s Mommy, had this coffee table for years. The years showed: Scratches, dents, rub spots, dull, faded, dead finish. She wanted the top refinished. Just the top. So, I began with the legs. Momma was a collector of nick-knacks. She collected many souvenir spoons, salt-and-pepper shakers, plates, and, some of her favorite things, ceramic and porcelain bells. This display case has held, for years, her complete set of Rockwell Bells of a certain issue. The Case was one of those “Buy-This-Many-All-At-Once-And-We’ll-Send-You (Free Of Charge), This-Handsome-Display-Case,” deals. Part 3: Joye's Porch Bench - Redux

- OR – What I did upon giving up on Spar urethane.I refinished this bench, about two-years ago. I slathered it with Spar Varnish. The bench sits on the front porch, facing the afternoon sun, and, consequently the finish utterly failed, in little more than a year. It looked really good.
