Life long Luddite in many ways. Five years in the army, from grunt to medical corps, and ten being involved with medical research, thrilling concepts but depressing results overall. Thirty years in programming and consulting, fun stuff with useful and innovative applications but just too many non-content types in the end and a sense of the intangible. Now, it's different.

Started woodworking at 10 being the kid who had to hold pieces on the out-feed of the table saw. Learned a lot swear words from my dad, God rest his soul.

In college, began doing the scrap wood pieces from construction sites. Seemed cool and at no cost.

Got serious after the ex left with what I'd done. Began to take a woodworking class every semester, for 18 years, at a local high school. Learned from others and fell in love with arts and crafts in all senses.

Accumulated a fair amount of tools and skills. Furnished our home and started out our nieces with some instant heirlooms.

Now I make for others and the occasional replacement for ourselves. Never will be a master as some I've seen on this site but the journey continues.

Welcome to Lumberjocks Terry! Hope you have as much fun as I do on this site.
I see your looking for a plan. Here’s my Catapult page, I have a plan you can follow if you wish to make my version of this toy.
Happy surfing!
