I got some much needed help in my workshop constructing a few panels of parquetry that will be used on an upcoming project.
I had a visit from my grandchildren last week and my Granddaughter got quite involved with the panels I was putting together, she would let me know if the piece was a good fit or not and tell me if the gaps needed attention.

We glued the panel up and left it in the press overnight, she was very happy with how her panel turned out
Here is a picture of the front and rear panel, the panels are constructed of rosewood and satinwood
And the two side panels
Thanks for looking
Keith

Wow! Déjà vu!
Nice looking panels …. and vaguely familiar ….
You must have been smiling this morning when you commented on my blog entry. It’s almost identical although yours is much bigger.
How cool to have someone so young to pass this on to. It seems all my students are my own age. I hope she keeps her interest and you are able to pass on the art.
