Les or Mark. I am here in Wichita. I've been bitten buy the bug and the only cure is more projects. Can either of you suggest a good place for a novice to start? I'm not opposed to go to KC, but would like to find something locally.

Dear sir, I have been in Wichita for 16 years now. I am looking for some place to learn and work with wood. I used to frame houses a ton of years ago in Dallas Tx. I used to work for the Design Centre in Wichita Ks building custom trade show display units. and when Kellogg was expanding an old guy taught me how to take a tree to the saw mill and slice it up like a loaf of bread. I am about to receive 1k and I am not sure if I should buy a table saw or pay some one for some instruction. Or I could volunteer and give free labor in exchange for an education. I have worked at WSU for 10 years and a local theatrical union for 17 years now. I am a very hard worker and love the smell of wood. I look forward to hearing from you. my number is 316-409-0068

I envy you being able to do this for a living. My shop is almost exactly what you described growing up with. I would love to be able to do my hobby for a living to.

My father and grandfather both were woodworkers. Looking back, I wish I would of listened to their advice more.

You are a true craftsman and an inspiration. I've ran my own fulltime shop for @8 mounths. Though I'm always busy I really get nervous about how long I can just keep doing this. It seems to good to be true you know. It takes frequent inspirations like yourself to keep going. Thanks for sharing your work and I be hourered to put you on as my buddy for future inspiration.
