After a moderator threatened me with banning for participating in another woodworking site. I won't be participating here unless someone specifically asks me a question.

I wonder who as sent more people to other sites. Other LJs or the unpaid supervisor.

I've used it a few times and I would say that's it's good for a beginner who does not yet want to invest too much but still have a complete set of jaws. You can't beat the price from what I can tell. Since I'm new to turning and this is my first chuck, I don't have anything to compare it to but I would probably buy it again. It's probably not the most precisely made chuck. The only problem I've had is that sometimes the jaws sort of jam like one of them is out of alignment but reversing the chuck key slightly seems to fix the problem. I just hope it's not a problem that will get worse with wear. I may take it apart to see if there is anything obvious causing that or if there is a spot that is roughly milled or something. Except for that, it works as I would expect. It comes with a fairly nice case for such a cheap set. It is compact but sturdy enough and I actually like being able to keep everything organized together, at least until I start using it more. The case has dense foam with cutouts to keep everything in its place.

Noticed you made a recent purchase of the Grizzly Chuck Kit.
Just wondering how it has worked out for you.

Looking at the same kit or maybe the 4".
