BTW, I don't believe that's any hat you got on your head that's for sure one of your big buddies. All I've ever had were plain old dogs and I loved every one of them. I knew a feller that had a farm down by the river - a real nice farm. He had a couple of raccoons that lived right in his den and they were the finest of pets. They could sit right at a table and eat right off a plate with their own hands. They were highly intelligent critters and well behaved. There weren't anything short about those racoons - just very beautiful easy going animals. I loved 'em.

Mary Anne, great things have often began with humble beginnings. I've seen your work and it looks great to me. I was 54 before I had what I would call a proper shop of my own. It was my carport that I finally closed in. Before that the few tools that I had felt like orphans - I'm sure of it. I did my work in the open carport, in the driveway, under my oak tree, and even in the kitchen when it was too cold to work outside. You keep on working at it. I see in you a lot of talent. You live in a beautiful part of the good ole USA. That must be inspiring in itself considering all of the woodworking traditions of North Carolina. I love those mountains. I've always been a mountain man at heart but must be contented to live in these little old foothills of north Georgia. God Bless and you keep on working on that shop - it sounds like it's coming along. Besides, a work shop is a work in progress - they always will be.

Welcome to Lumberjocks. The projects are an inspiration, the information is priceless and the people are supportive. The only problem is, the site can get addictive.

    God Bless
