Not sure Todd it is something they mailed me after I went to a wood working show and sent away for 4 free issues.
Their current deal is something like 2 years for the price of 1.
The one I got one 3 years for price of 1 and a free gift.

Yes and Yes! :)
I like the magazine personally.
So much in so that I found a huge deal of them in a previous blog entry. As well as a couple more years worth off ebay. Stopped at some Half-Priced books in town and been finding the missing issues I didn’t have. I almost have the complete last 20 years probably.

How do I jump on that deal? I have about 8 months left of my subscription and all the early renew deals I have seen have been get a year for $28.99, not much of a deal if you ask me…
BOB67CAM, Yes Wood Magazine is a heck of a good magazine. Oriented more toward the starting to mid level experience woodworker, but some advanced topics as well… Better rounded than Fine Woodworking (I dropped that one). Good enough it is one of 2 magazines I still subscribe to. The other is Popular Woodworking (used to be Woodworking but Pop Wood and Woodworking merged…).
I especially like the plans from Wood Magazine. Easy to follow even if you don’t REALLY know what you are doing…
One fuss is that they have too many ads in the magazine… I almost wish they would put the contents in one section, and ads in another. The ads can be useful when you are shopping for something, but I don’t for a second believe that their editorial commentary isn’t influenced by advertising revenue… Which is true of most media… But for the most part the writing is spot on, easy to follow, and enjoyable…

My suggestion would be to call their customer service and ask if you can get the 3 years for 1 price deal and see if they give it to you. I originally was sending in mail per the letter they sent me, but then just called it and talked to someone asking questions etc about and I went ahead and did it over the phone. I think if you just ask they do it. Obviously they want people to pay the regular price or the 2 year special but it is there the 3 year deal just need to inquire.
