Question, I am trying to smooth and sand some interesting pieces of redwood burl root and driftwood. Very curvy, lots of grain, and interesting shapes. What can I use to smooth the curved and bent surfaces of these 12-18 inch wood shapes? I want nice smooth wood that retains the original forms of the redwood. I dont want to change curved surfaces to flat surfaces.
I got some “sanding sponges” but that is taking too long to do it by hand.
I saw a rotating whisker sort of attachment for the hand drill (Black and Decker Flexi Sander) with nylon bristles, instead of wire bristles you might find on a paint-removing/stripping rotating attachment.
What do you guys suggest?
