I'm retired and just getting serious about wood working. I have my shop set up in the back of the garage--a little tight, but the bigger stuff is on wheels, so it works. I'm trying to learn how to use hand tools right now. Not that I'm opposed at all to power tools, but it's a fun challenge to make shavings instead of dust.

I’ve been following (well, actually trying to catch up) the Paul Sellers’ videos and just finished my first ever project made with (almost) exclusively hand tools. It was a character builder. Also fun to see what you can do with hand-made tools, like his beading tool—cheapest tool I ever used.
