Hello my name is Jim. I've been involved in woodworking on and off since I was in high school. I'm originally from Iowa and moved in 1994 with my job to Houston, TX and then to Midlothian, Va in 1997. While in Virginia, I really got serious about my hobby and started spending all my spare time and money in my shop.

Each year I try to upgrade one of my major tools in hopes that I can retire early to spend more time doing woodworking. Check out my website to see some of the things I've made over the years. I've done a lot of projects for family, friends and our church.

My wife is constantly teasing me that every time I start a new project, I need another new tool. All joking aside, she has been very supportive in my love of wood woodworking. It's truly been my get away from the everyday stresses of my regular job.

Welcome to Lumberjocks. The projects are an inspiration, the information is priceless and the people are supportive. The only problem is, the site can get addictive.

God Bless
tom

Hi there,
Welcome to LumberJocks… I joined the site myself just about 2 years ago and will give you fair warning, this site is VERY ADDICTIVE, VERY EDUCATIONAL, and VERY FUN…. so sit back, enjoy the ride and learn from the other LJ’s as they are a group of extremely talented people that are also very friendly…
I apologize for the late welcome but I am currently serving overseas and don’t have a lot of spare time on my hands.

Enjoy your time here on LJ and pass the word to any of your woodworking buddies about us…

Wisty

Faith Chest question:

I am wondering if you make the Faith Chests to sell and what the cost would be. I need one for April 22nd.

Thank you so much,
Deb6
