Shaped Cutting Board -- Layer wood panels to prevent warping? - 3 replies

You guys have always given me great info, so please help me think this one through! I’d like to make a cutting board out of scraps, but I’ve got 7/8” thick maple, making it prime for warping. I also have a 1/4” thick piece of walnut I can use, and I’m wondering if making panels and then layering them would make ...

Does that sound right? (Btw, I’m talking about hand sanding the inside of router bowls and trays.) My current technique is to start ...

Wood recommendation needed! - 10 replies

Hi all! I’m in need of some suggestions—for a project I’m working on, I’m looking for a type of light/blonde domestic hardwood that is still on the lighter side after aging. (As close to a fresh poplar color as I can get.) Is there any such thing? Thanks!
