Location: Twin Falls, Idaho

I started building stuff with wood in the late 1990's. Been doing it as a hobby ever since. I have a pretty well-equipped shop in my oversize 2-car garage. The requirement for using the garage is that my wife can still park her car in it! Mine sits outside. But that is a fair trade.

I am retired from nearly 40 years in the radio broadcasting business as chief engineer and radio talk show host. Believe me, playing in my shop is a real treat compared to working.

I have two mini metal lathes and a mini mill along with a full size Jet wood lathe so I can do metal work too. I also have a laser engraver which does a lot of nice things and has taken my woodworking to the next level. Some guys retire and buy a Harley...I retired and bought a laser engraver! Actually, I bought one before I retired but I upgraded after the import one stopped working. I have a big assortment of other tools to round out the shop. You can take a tour of my shop. I have a link to my youtube video tour in the WORKSHOP section on this site. I also have a 3D printer that is an interesting tool with lots of uses. It is not included in the video tour.

My wife is a retired school teacher and she enjoys her flower garden. We live in Twin Falls, Idaho with our three Boston Terrier children. Our three human kids are all off and have families of their own but they all live in the area.

I also enjoy photography, shooting, astronomy and ham radio (K7SU). I am enjoying displaying my stuff on LJ and am really enjoying looking at your stuff. Lots of talented woodworkers out there with a lot of good ideas.
