I needed to reduce the thickness of a segmented ring and in the past I just did this with a handsaw. This time I decided to try it on the bandsaw with my tenoning jig. I removed part of the tenoning jig so that it would clear the blade. I attached a piece of plywood with double sided tape to extend the reach of the jig. Then I attached the ring with double sided tape and made the cut. The tenoning jig has an adjusting knob that allows you to make fine adjustments. You can cut very thin...
