Part 1: Making the case and drawers

I started this project a few months ago and have been working on it when time allows. This is a dresser sized to fit in a specific location. I tried to design it so that the proportions looked good. Hopefully I have succeeded. Made with cherry plywood and hardwood. Here’s a few photos of the build. I’ve completed 4 of the 6 drawer fronts. Hopefully I can finish the last 2 drawer fronts this weekend.

Part 3: Almost done

Most of the woodworking is done. Just need to cut a back panel and apply a few coats of finish.

Part 4: Finally Finished

This project took much longer than planned but now it’s ready to go inside the house.Here are a few photos of the dresser with red mahogany stain and 5 coats of water based polyurethane. The cherry plywood has some very nice figure. The figure on the top stands out very nicely. The drawer fronts are veneered with sapelle. The drawer pulls were ordered online from HomeDepot.
