Indian pottery and pyrography #1: The design

I like to draw out the full sized shape on paper. From this drawing I take my measurements and perform all the necessary calculations

Next, I decide on the pyrography design. This pattern was from a YouTube video by Ellen Walters.
I practice the design on paper to ensure I know how to draw it correctly.
