Band saw wobble - 4 replies

I have a 4 year old Powermatic 14 inch band saw. I have a 1/2 inch blade that is tightened to as tight as I feel it should be. There is very little flex in the blade (I have it a little tighter than what Alex Snodgras recommends). Also it tighter than the 1/2 inch indicator on the BS. Need to square a 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 x 18 Spalted Maple - 7 replies

First of all let me say that I have checked my set up and my saw blade and Osborne Miter Gauge are square to each other. The other side of the hood has what appears to be where a 4” hose can be attached. However, that side doesn’t have an opening. I wonder if this is just a knock out. Does anyone have th...

Have only room for a short workbench - 16 replies

Hello folks – This is my first post on the sight. My shop is my garage which we use in the Victor, NY winters to put both of our cars in. Everything gets pushed to the back. I have every thing on wheels so that is not too much of a problem. I want to build a new workbench based on the split Roubo style with a glide vise on the side and...
