Modine Hot Dawg Programmable Thermostat?

I have a Hot Dawg Heater, HDS 45, installed in my shop and I seem to forget to turn the thermostat down when I leave. Question is, can I install a regular residential set back\programmable thermostat such as found at any BORG? It appears to be a 24V system with 2 wires coming to the thermostat.

I would think it should work. Most of those set backs are 24v AC with a battery backup. You may even be able to get away with an inexpensive model because there isn’t any need for the “cooling side” function.

Should be able to without too much effort. I used a used one I had laying around in a similar setup.
