Thank you and yes.. well- it “was” big… it’s too small now. We are in the middle of 27 tables (40 sheets of plywood), 700lf of trim, a wine locker, a bar, cutting boards, etc and three more restaurants to go. This was just a hobby thing that quickly turned- we have become friends with everyone in our little area- and have even hired someone to help… so moving, unless it’s a bigger space where we already are, won’t work… anyway. Exciting but definitely overwhelming… and would LOVE to find someone to hire who is good at “finishing” wood. (The mundane but very important job of staining/sealing all of this wood!) if anyone knows of anyone in Delray Beach (or surrounding area) who is really good at this, please send them my way!! I will have steady work for the next year!!

That sounds like a tall order. People are buying now, and that is a good sign.

Good fun stuff.
Looks like a lot of room, it will fill up fast though. You know what they say, never big enough.

Was thinking you may not want to list your exact address, lots of weirdos online.
Just look up^ lol

Many a successful business started out in a small industrial space just like that one.
Looks like you’re on the right track!

I had to smile when I read your story. Don’t hold back and jump in and paddle with all your might and all you got. I like it!

When you catch up with your saw think seriously about adding a digital fence to it. It give you accurate repeatability in a few short seconds. Speeds things up immensely. Shtus down the parallax problem. Secondly index ALL your tape measures to the same standard, one that matches your table saw.

Stick to commercial work and high end residential custom projects. You will do alright.

There is a lot of experience to draw from here at LJ’s Just ask.

Welcome to LJ’s.

Real nice shop!

I started a wine club at our golf course, 150 members in that club. We had 30 wine lockers installed. Yours look very nice.

I had help with it!! In fact he did most of it. I got SUPER lucky and directly across from me, a guy moved in who designed/built the cabins of gulf streams… the same airplane my husband is on. It’s so bizarre how things happen. Also, we have everything in two shops now- his and ours… we had zero space left. He moved in and now we are all basically partnered. And he is working his a%% off… very very lucky!!

Haha love it! I haven’t seen any grumpy old men yet! I think we could use triple the space (seriously)! We are now into our partners space… things all over the place!!
