My woodshop is rented space in a home remodeling business. It’s been great, but the owner (a friend) needs the space and I’ll set up another shop (soon I hope). Working away from home allows me to focus and not worry about noise. The space is 12 X 36 or so, and there is another room with a table saw (unisaw), a paint/finish room, and another miter saw. All for a crazy hobbyist, enginner as a day job.

I like my Jet dust collector and Jointer/planer, a 14-in bandsaw by Baileigh, a jet mini-lathe, a 16-32 drum sander, and assorted other tools. I made the bench – and I like the big split (8” gap I can fill). I don’t use it for a tool tray, but it does allow options. Many 20 mm dogholes, especially along the face allows some nice clamping options.

Let me know what you think. (I’m still a novice at posting images – but fingers crossed the come out right). Woodworkers are used to turning things over, right?

Nice shop,

I will be moving to a new home in about 2 months. The shop will be a big deal to move.

Good luck with your move
