I have a basement shop. My power tools consist of a hybrid Delta table saw, a router with fix and plunge base, a router table and a corded drill. My hand tools consists of…. the list is very long. I am a hand tool junkie. I have been woorworking seriously for 5 years. I bought my first hand tool about 4 years ago, a dovetail saw. Then chisels shortly after that, then came the planes… it never ends. I have been a very serious hand tool guy for about the last 3 years. I even sold my sliding compound mitre saw and circ saw last month (July, 2011) to force myself into using only hand saws… and to make room for my bench. I have no intentions at all for buying any more power tools. Well, maybe a festool or two… or three….. maybe four?

Jeremy, I have always had a great deal of respect and admiration for those woodworkers who take the time to develop their hand skills. You have a nice set of hand tools to start down this path.

Let me also welcome you to LJs. It is good to have you on board as a member of the group.
