As part of posting the step by step process for the chest restoration I found another Cass Toy Co chest that I will be using as my “model”. This one has a little more detail in the images, but will be restored with the same process of the first chest.

Here is the chest I’ll be detailing the steps for restoring:

Now I’m going to follow the same steps I did with this chest. Here is the before:

First thing is to take photos. I’m using a Canon T5i set to manual, no flash, res set to 8mp and I’ve taken as many as I can close up, eye level from several angles. I’m going to load all of these photos into Photoshop first to do some editing. First to remove all the color and give me a clean black/white image to work with.
