New to me Casolin shaper (9hp) - 2 replies

Picked this up a couple weeks ago. It’s a 1999 casolin f90c shaper with sliding table. Roughly 1600 pounds and with a 9 horsepower motor. Largest table ring is a bit over 13” this particular unit is good up to a 10” diameter cutter head or 12” diameter tenon discs Very similar to a scmi t130, but slightly heavier. ...

built a updated version of a face frame notching jig that I built a few years ago. The original was loosely based off a similar jig i saw on you tube. Its all based around the kreg notching bits. I picked up this 1946 oliver back in February of this year as a companion to my tenoner, and as a upgrade to the little jet benchtop mortiser i had. We loaded it with a forklift and because of the height and balance point i ended up having to take the table and knee off to unload it. Overall im rather happy with its performance. ...
