It is from “Making Hand Tools” by Harry Bryan.
The body is cut from three inch angle iron. It is 1 3/4” tall and 3/4” wide.
The back end will be shaped further once the handle is on. I can’t decide what to make the handle from. I may use some locust. The cap iron will be bronze as will be the adjustment knobs.

That is a cool shape, I haven’t seen that pattern before. Is a grove cut for the iron? Looking forward to see more!

Hi Will, Yes , it will have wooden handle that the blade rides on and the sole has a slot cut for the blade to go through. I made a mistake on the one in the pictures, didn’t leave the right shape for the handle, I just cut out another one today at work so I will post some more progress pictures as it uh, progresses.
Thanks for looking!!
