Just getting started on LJs today but have been reading for a while. First thing to do it seems is to set up the shop page.

A little background first. I have always liked making sawdust and have built many small useful items over the years. I started to get serious in the hobby about 2 years ago. It started when my Dad told me about a co-worker of his that was selling a Ridgid Lathe. The guy wanted $100 for it and Dad said he wanted to buy it but did not have the room for it. He asked if he could put it in my garage. I have a 22 X 24 heated garage so I said sure. That way I get to use it when ever I want.

After a few weeks, he comes over and suggests we move the rest of his Ridgid tools to my garage because his Basement shop is just too small to do anything. I agreed right away and that began the process of me setting up my shop.

This is really still a work in progress because I need a lot more storage built for it. I have kicked out some descent items in there how ever and I will post better pictures as they come along.

Way to score some nice tools. Great looking space to make some sawdust. Thanks for sharing, Steve in Oregon
