I’m learning how to create my own inlays. This is my first attempt at creating a fan using sand shading. For those of you who have not done sand shading I have a few tips: 1) Use a cast iron skillet. I found a small one for less than $10 at a local store.2) Use fine grain sand. I found a 40 pound bag at Menards for about $5.00. (Menards is a chain of stores in the mid-west similar to Lowes or Home-Depot. I like Menards better because they carry stuff like 4’x8’ shee...
