My Roubo frame saw kit (unsharpened and holes pre-drilled) arrived over the weekend from Blackburn Tools & Isaac Smith, thanks to Shannon Rodgers inspiration. I want to see how this saw can benefit my wood working experience. Will this be a valid replacement for a Laguna 14/12 $1000 bandsaw? Let’s find out…. My first time using a rasp for this purpose. Came out not too shabby but not 100% perfect. Will have a fair amount of sanding to do soon.

Part 5: Completed

Spend a good portion of Memorial Day Monday to joint & sharpen the 48” blade. Assembled and ran it through a 8/4 white oak piece. Cuts like buttah :) Posting in project section now.
