« Part 1: Parts arrived from Blackburn Tools, 8/4 white oak purchased. Getting ready. Part 2 of Large Roubo Frame Saw series Part 3: working on the arms and handles. rasp, rasp, and more rasp/filing »

Finished up the end arms and worked on the stretchers. Started off with hand planing to a large extent with winding sticks and try square. I did give it a go but ended up using jointer/planer machinery in the end. I’m just not good enough (yet) for 100% hand tooling. Arms are suppose to be 3” deep but I come in at 2 3/4” because of my hand planing mistakes. Added 1/2” to the stretchers to make up the difference. And then a dry fit run just to see how big this frame saw will end up :)
