Miscellany #1: Tools from the past

You may recall that I inherited my grandfather’s Radial Arm Saw about a decade ago (see shop pics) so this past month, I got to talking with my Dad and asked him if he still had any of Grandpa’s other tools. He said he did and would bring them to me over the holidays. I have attached pictures of what was included. There are quite a few tools from the early 1900’s and I did a quick search on the wooden plane and it looks like it was produced from 1865-1893 by the New York Tool Co. It is in pretty rough shape (cracks in base and one side broken off wedge). All of the carving chisels I obtained from my wife’s Grandpa’s garage up north. The dark handled ones are Marples and the light handled ones are Buck Bro’s. I have a bit of clean up to do but they should add a lot of value to my hand tool collection :)
