SuperMax 19-38 - HowI finally leveled the tables. - 4 replies

Just wanted to share my final take on leveling the tables. The gentleman from Supermax was close, probably got me started in the right direction. 1. Install bracket assembly to base of sander with two large Allen head bolts. Tighten top Allen head bolts until finger tight.2. Tighten same bolts with Allen wrench until you feel it grab and ...

Infeed/Outfeed Folding Tables SuperMax 19-38 - 9 replies

Anyone else have problems with putting the tables on? The whole design of attaching them to the sander base seems stupid to me. Two bolts on top and two set screws on the bottom? Really? It tells you to adjust the set screws until the support brackets are flush with the bed. If they tables sit on top of the support brackets, then the bracke...

Coffee Table, Map Drawer-esque - 2 replies

Always liked Map Drawer coffee tables. 40” x 36” is just a guess right now, but probably pretty close. Just curious as to thoughts on proportions, etc. Not sure if they will be fake drawer fronts with one big drawer on each side or one short and one big. Thoughts? Thank you.

Triton in a Table - 5 replies

For all of you who have the big Triton in a Router Table, did you take the clear dust shroud pieces off or leave them on? I took them off thinking it wouldn’t limit the flow.

Need a switch for a downdraft table...... - 1 reply

Ok guys, I need some input! Building a combo downdraft/outfeed table. I have a old commercial furnace blower I acquired that has 7 speeds. Figuring I will run 3 (low, medium and high) so I am looking for a switch to use. I could use a series of wired wall switches, but that seems a bit ridiculous to me and would look silly. I see lots of ...

Norm's Router Table - Attaching the top - 4 replies

For those of you who built Nahm’s Router Table….......how did you attach the top? I see on his plans its just 4 blocks in the corners. Just those blocks to hold it in it’s spot and the weight of the top/router does the rest? I am using a Phenolic top from Woodpeckers, so I guess I’ll be doing blocks with Gorilla Glue...

Nahm's Router Table Design Question? - 1 reply

Gonna build a version of Norm’s Router Table but I have a question. I was thinking of building it without any plywood edge banding and just letting the drawers and door overlap…..although I am open to being talked out of it. My question is on the door. If I use half overlay European style hinges will the door open properly witho...

How to finish this stump cutoff? - 3 replies

Our sister company does tree removal among other things, so I get a crack at some of the stuff they get. I saw this out there not to long after they cut it. It’s about 3.25” thick and roughly 22×28 (give or take). It was a decaying maple tree, has some spalting. This is what it looks like when misted with water. How would...

Sofa Table, Initial Design thoughts... - 20 replies

Thinking about making a sofa table. I know tastes vary, but here are two takes on the initial design. I personally like the top one. Cherry, with spalted maple drawer fronts. Not sure what I would do to the legs, or if I should add some sort of bottom shelf or stretchers. Open on the bottom design for now. Rough dims are 50”L x 30&...
