So I’ve made my drill charging station and decided I needed to cleanup a few boxes of miscellaneous shop stuff from when I moved 4 hrs ago. It’s amazing what you can find when you clean. I found a router wrench that I’d been looking for for atleast year. I must of tossed it in there one day. I also discovered that I had doubles of two forstner bit which they don’t give away.

Guess I need to get organized more often!

I know exactly what you mean. Was working in the shop yesterday and needed a couple things that I know I have, but do you think I could find them, heck no. Had to improvise. I hate having to move a pile of things to find something that I know is there. I will be doing major reorganizing when I get the rest of the stuff out and in the new shed. Have a great day.

Jim, I know exactly what your saying. I find all sorts of things in the dungeon that I had forgotten that I had. Junkaholism is a strange desease. ;-)

I don’t know if it’s because this is mainly a hobby for me, only occasionally will I make any change off of it, but I have the same issue. My shop is never organized enough to make everything findable. I made an unspoken agreement with myself. When ever I can’t “find” something I have to start cleaning and organizing until I find it.
There have been times, I must admit, when I got all my cleaning done, and still could not find “it”. I call it an it because now I can’t even remember what I was looking for!

Hey can you come clean my shop? I’m still missing a piece of a tote I broke;(. Amongst other miscellaneous tools.
It’s almost like getting out your winter coats and finding a $20 in your pocket.

I’m sorry. I couldn’t resist. I am organized. I constantly and carefully put things away in a specified place so that I’ll surely remember where it is. The problem is, with niniety percent of it, I can not for the life of me remember where that it.
