I’m currently on vacation in Newfoundland, Canada.
Today I had the pleasure to meet and visit with David (LumberJock djg) at his home and shop here in Torbay, Newfoundland. David is a great guy and a very talented woodworker. He has a well equipped and very well organized shop. I was very impressed with the effectiveness of his sawdust/dust control system. His shop was spotless and it was hard to believe he does any work in it but the significant quantity of finished projects which filled his home makes it obvious he does actually use the shop to produce great pieces of woodworking.
David’s skills are evident in all his work that I saw during my visit. The dining table and chairs are extremely well done. He had two of his clocks in use and they are fascinating to watch as they mark the march of time.
David and his family made my wife Carol and me welcome in their home. I look forward to seeing more of David’s work in the future (including several projects he’s not yet documented at LJ).
Of course, the old adage is if there’s no pictures, it didn’t happen.

Yes, we’re actually together in the shop…
I enjoyed my visit with David. Hope you all enjoyed this account and consider visiting other LumberJocks while on your travels.
Ya’ll be careful!

That’s great you got to meet another LJ in person.
I’ve found this community to be a very friendly and giving lot!!!
Recently, a bunch of us “Stumpy Nubbers” (12 in all) had the opportunity to meet face to face.
It was the second annual meeting, but only my first. A great time was had by all.
We will all be meeting again next year and I’m already looking forward to it.
Thanks for sharing your visit!!!
BTW: David, great lookin’ work space!!!
