no previous part Part 1 of Delta Contractor Style Table Saw Storage Cabinet series Part 2: Starting all over again »

Spent several hours yesterday putting together a drawing in Sketchup (SKU) for the under the wing storage cabinet for my Delta Contractor table saw. I have a Biesemeyer fence on the saw with the 30” extension so I have a large space underneath the right wing. The tall drawer on the right is a pull out that will have a panel in the middle, with access to both sides, that will allow me to store saw blades, dado blades, etc. on dowel pegs. The drawers is where I can keep various items used with the table saw. The right exterior end can be utilized for sled storage by adding a french cleat strip. The is a slot on the upper left hand side that will be for fence storage when not in use. On the back side is additional storage that will be accessed via two doors. This will be storage for small jigs on a french cleat system.
Only have a few days to get started on the project as we will be leaving on 5/30 for an extended trip to California lasting the month of June. We will be attending my Navy ships reunion in San Diego, I was stationed aboard the USS Bausell, DD-845, part of the Tin Can fleet.
Here are pictures of the SKU rendering I’ve done so

Too bad you had to start over. I wanted to see a video or snapshots of the actual construction as I’m thinking about building a storage cabinet for my aerobics gear. What you described sounds like it would come in handy with all the different sized equipment I have that’s so tricky to stash away. I hope you’re able to figure it out – I look forward to seeing your next post on this. For now I’ll just have to be satisfied with putting all my stuff back in their original boxes and piling them up in my storeroom… Not fun when I have to “un-pile” them to get at something at the bottom!
