In my 3-car garage woodshop I am getting everything that I can on mobile bases. I place my Grizzly floor drill press on a wide mobile. I did that so it would not be tippy. I know that in some shops the owners drill their drill presses to the floor. I settled for a large mobile base. It has been working well. I followed the Woodsmith plan to use metal drawer slides. I bought Liberty slides from Amazon.com in order to get the cheapest pricing. I guess their quality is fine. I just do not have enough experience placing metal slides to make a good judgement. They work. I ordered 18 inch slides. The depth I had to work in the cabinet was 18 3/4 inches. Part 3: Cut Cabinet Top and Fasten to Drawer Cabinet and Cubbies, Route Recess Areas, and Apply Finish Coat

I cut the top of this drill press cabinet from 1 inch thick Baltic Birch plywood that I had leftover from a previous project. I made the cutout for the drill press that same way I did for the cabinet base. After I had sanded the top I fastened it to the cabinet and cubbies with 1 1/4 inch wood screws from inside the cubbies and the cabinet.
